Chardon Veterinary Hospital is primarily a small animal practice. We offer morning, afternoon and evening appointments along with Saturday morning and early afternoon. Hours of operation Monday 10-7 Tuesday 10-6 Wednesday 10-5:30 Thursday 10-5:30 Friday 10-7 Saturday 10-1:30

Dr. David B. Allmon

Dr. David B. Allmon, DVM came to the Chardon, Ohio area in July of 1983 and purchased the practice from veterinarian Dr. Alan Cragg. Dr. Allmon grew up in Carrollton, Ohio with his sister, Kathy, who is a practicing attorney in Carrollton and a brother, Thomas, who was a family physician in Portland, Oregon and their lovable basset hound, Cleo. His forays into the surrounding countryside with veterinarians, Dr Keith Burgett and Dr. Paul Bennig reinforced his desire to pursue veterinary medicine. He graduated from Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975.

Currently active as a Scout Leader with Troop 750 out of Geneva, Ohio and on the District Advancement Committee. Dr. Allmon is an Eagle Scout, having received the award in 1965 from Troop 141 of Carrollton, Ohio. He has also received the Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit and the Wood Badge from the Boy Scouts. He had been on staff for four years at the Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree and two years on the World Scout Jamboree. He served two years in the Army Veterinary Corps after four years of ROTC at Ohio State. He is currently a member of the Chardon Rotary and the Geneva Kiwanis Club. He has served in the past as President of the Chardon Rotary, Geneva Kiwanis and past Lt. Governor 22 Div Kiwanis.

Our hospital has a staff of friendly and courteous assistants to help answer your questions and fill your pet's preventative care and medication prescriptions for our patients who visit our hospital. We try to project a friendly and comfortable environment for our clients and their pets. We take the time that is needed to diagnose your pet's ailment. We specialize in personalized care.
